It’s World Health Day today, and this year, the World Health Organization is shining a special light on all of the nurses and midwives around the globe. Representing over 50% of all healthcare workers worldwide, nurses and midwives are currently on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. These courageous, hardworking and selfless individuals aid not only in the treatment but also in the education and prevention of illness and disease. Thank you to all of the nurses and midwives who continue to care for each and every one of us.
In honor of World Health Day, Dr. Oommen and Dr. Di Liello highlight some of the positive medical advances that have been made in the past few weeks! We believe that it is important to remember the positive in times when we tend to feel overwhelmed with the uncertainty in the news. The Doctors also discuss Dr. Di Liello’s first-hand experience with getting tested for the coronavirus and address Premier François Legault’s most recent announcement about the reprioritization of COVID-19 testing.
Once again, we would like to thank not only our nurses and midwives, but ALL other essential workers getting us through this pandemic one day at a time.
Thank you for watching! We encourage you to send us your questions at info@cardiogenix.ca, but most importantly, if you believe that you are showing symptoms or may have come in contact with someone with COVID-19, please call the info-coronavirus line at 1-877-644-4545.
As always, stay safe, happy and healthy everyone!
