This evening, Dr. Oommen and Dr. Di Liello discuss more of your COVID-19 questions, particularly on how people will be tested for immunity to the novel coronavirus and how to know if we have already gotten it. As people are now aware of what to look for in the virus, many have come forward reporting that they had experienced COVID-19-like symptoms a few weeks before it was a hot topic and suspect that they could have been affected. We must also keep in mind that a large number of those infected may show no symptoms at all, hence the importance of social distancing.
As testing continues, the number of cases will continue to rise, and eventually as time goes on, this will begin to slow down. For the time being, we would like to thank everyone that has been practicing self-isolation for the past few weeks. It may not always be easy, but remember, together we will get through this!
